Bambanani Centre

Bambanani was founded in 2002 in Dukathole, most of which is an informal settlement by Germiston to the East of Johannesburg. Initially Bambanani provide support to vulnerable children whose lifes had been impacted by the HIV epidemic, helping 50 children each day who receive early age education support and one nutritious meal each day.

With support from the Bishop Simeon Trust, and one generous family in the UK, Bambanani was able to identify a new larger area of land which could accomodate all their work and provide a much bigger playground for the children and activities. We also supported Bambanani to develop a Safe Park programme to provide extended support to older children in Dukathole.
