Long Walk Through London 2022

On Thursday 1st September, our Director is walking through the night round the streets of London to raise money to improve access to education for hundreds of vulnerable young people in the townships of Ivory Park and Ebony Park, Gauteng. Beginning in Parliament Square, the route will see the group travel 22.4 miles to iconic London landmarks including the London Eye, the Shard, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace.

The walk will begin at 9pm Thursday evening and the team will have to brace for whatever the British weather holds. All being well they will return to Parliament Square at 6:30am the following morning.

Why are we doing this? Our Director response is...

'Millions of South African children and young people are trapped in poverty and the best way they can escape that is through getting an education that leads to opportunities. Tragically, the education system in South Africa is in crisis with 6 in every 10 young people who start education not completing their studies. The money we raise will help provide one-to-one tutoring, homework support, careers guidance and essential learning resources. Every little helps and we're determined to do whatever we can to help, even if it means going without sleep and walking through the night!'
