The Bishop Simeon Trust regrets that The Walk for Freedom, scheduled to take place on the 25th of April on Wimbledon Common, has been postponed due to the unforeseen withdrawal of our Events & Community Fundraiser's visa. Tamara has been with the BST since May 2008, bringing energy and experience to the role. Originally from Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa, Tamara completed her MSc at the University of Bristol and worked in a variety of charity sector roles in UK organisations before joining the Trust.

New visa regulations means that Tamara's leave to remain in the UK has been denied and she must return to South Africa imminently. Therefore the trustees have decided to postpone the Walk for Freedom until the trustees have successfully recruited a new Event's & Community Fundraiser.

We sincerely thank all of you who have been involved with assisting Tamara with this exciting new venture and for ultimately helping young South African's through education! We will be in touch directly to announce the new date and plans for The Walk For Freedom 2010.
