Schools Support our ‘Race Against Time’
South Africa is heading for extra time.
As well as being home of this year’s World Cup, South Africa is home to some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children in the world.
With a ticking time-bomb of AIDS and poverty that will leave many children orphaned, living in terrible conditions, or dead, we want to ensure many more can enjoy the World Cup’s of the future.
Through our partner projects over 250 volunteers support more than 24,000 children to ensure that they have food, schooling, clothing, emotional and practical support. But we know that there are 1,000’s more that need this vital help which we just cannot reach so we urgently need to train more Child Advocates to be able to provide the most vulnerable children with practical support through counselling, friendship, and a consistent reliable person they can turn to.
So how can your school help?
Its simple.
Sign up to take part in our NON-UNIFORM day on 18th June (or a day of your choosing).
Each £1 raised can provide food for a week for one aids affected orphan.
Buy a Race Against Time wristband, and show you care.
Each wristband sold can provide an orphan or child headed household with a visit from a trained Child Advocate.
The bands cost £2 just each and are easy to order on sale or return.
