SITS Finstock CE Primary School

Posted by Martin Keat

On Friday 8th March, dressed in pyjamas and onesies and sporting the most outrageous hair, the children of Finstock were keen to hear more about the work of Bishop Simeon Trust.

The children were amazed to hear that 1 in 5 children in South Africa are orphans and they spent the morning assembly discussing the similarities and differences between their lives and those in South Africa.

Then armed with their postcards – they were eager to step into the shoes of those children in South Africa and go home to help raise money for the work of Bishop Simeon Trust.

Thank you to all of the children in Finstock School for raising an amazing £249.75 for the work of Bishop Simeon Trust.  That is truly a fantastic achievement.

A big part of our work here at the Bishop Simeon trust is committed to assuring that children and young adults in South Africa are able to challenge and conquer those obstacles in their lives that prevent them from accessing education and assuring that they can  make the most of the potential they possess to thrive and build a positive future.
